Ascendance designs, manufactures, and commercializes hybrid-electric propulsion systems (STERNA Hybrid Pack = batteries + Energy Management System + electrical distribution), and integrates them into complete propulsion architectures for aerial drones ranging from 25 kg MTOW (maximum takeoff weight) to several tons, for dual-use applications.
Founded in 2018, the company now has more than 100 employees and operates across two sites: a design office in Toulouse and a flight-test and prototyping center in Muret. Ascendance is also developing a hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft.
